A stunning collection of quotes from a longtime warrior for Christ.

Thanks to whom ever had the idea of doing this collection of quotes from Billy Graham. This will be a book you will keep referring to day after day.

Billy Graham in Quotes is a wonderful collection of quotes spoken and written by Billy Graham on 107 topics and spanning over 70 years of service to the Lord. These quotes are Scripture based.

Some of the topics are suffering, joy, peace, money addictions, knowledge, heaven, war, truth and many, many more. This book is put together so that anyone can find something appropriate for anything they are going through.

It was so uplifting to read this quotes and meditate on what God was trying to tell me through them. I feel everyone should have a copy of this book. It can be used for so many things. You can use one of his quotes when you are sending someone a note to give the encouragement in a time of need. His words give you hope and helps you focus on what God is trying to tell you and not on him.

I gave this book a 5 in a 5-star rating. I also posted a review on www.amazon.com and www.goodreads.com.

By Eileen Button

Language: English
ISBN-10: 0849946255
ISBN-13: 978-0849946257
Product Dimensions: 8.1 x 5.4 x 0.7 inches

The Waiting Place by Eileen Button is a wonderful collection of essays describing her life. She takes us to the waiting times of life.  We go through so much of life waiting.  It seems we are always waiting. We wait in line, traffic, for love, children to grow up, retirement, etc. Eileen Button shows us that if we open our eyes, we will see so much. She takes us to times in her life that were very difficult but shows us that beauty is there, experience heals, and God can be found in it all. During these waiting times we don’t usually see the beauty, etc. until we move from the present to the past. Eileen has seen that special gift that can only be recognized by our faith. She has seen the beauty of every day events.

The Waiting Place includes stories on waiting for:
  • · the day to end
  • · a place called home
  • · the fish to bite
  • · a baby's healing
  • · church to be over
  • · a husband's return
  • · children to grow
  • · a mother's acceptance
  • · a loved one to die

The Waiting Place was a lot different than I thought it was going to be when I saw it was a collection of essays. But when I started reading them, I didn’t want to quit until I finished.

I gave this book a 5 in a 5-star rating. I also posted a review on www.amazon.com and www.goodreads.com.

Grief, Guilt, Faith, and Forgiveness

Melody Carlson has done it again. Shattered is a great story of so many of the realities of life.

Cleo Neilson is seventeen years old and nearing her high school graduation. Things begin to blow apart at almost the very beginning of this book. Then the “Secrets” begin.

Cleo faced so many issues all at once. From grief, guilt, blame, drugs, a bugging aunt, an absent father and the list goes on.

This was a wonderful story and so you will want to read it, I’m not going into a lot of detail about the story line.

I will just tell you, if you don’t read Shattered, you will have missed a very wonderful Christian fiction book. It shows you that the Lord is with you no matter what and He will get you through what you thought was the worse of the worse.

I gave this book 5 out of 5 stars. I also published a review on www.amazon.com and www.goodreads.com.

Finding True Abundance in Simplicity, Sharing, and Saving

Money Secrets of the Amish
Finding True Abundance in Simplicity, Sharing, and Saving
By Lorilee Craker
Paperback: 240 pages
Publisher: Thomas Nelson (June 14, 2011)
Language: English
ISBN-10: 159555341X
ISBN-13: 978-1595553416

Discover the money-saving and wealth-building secrets of America’s thriftiest people, the Amish.

When I saw this book, I thought I’ve got to read this. I’m always trying to find help same money. Like Lorilee and so many others today, I need help to make my money meet the bills.

Lorilee Craker has done an excellent job at helping all of us see how we can make do with what we already have. She shares with us the tips she learned from the Amish community she visited. They tell us to quit spending and spending and charging and charging. That we need to get back to the basic and realize if it’s not broke then you don’t need a new one.

Lorilee brought back so many memories of my childhood. If we didn’t need it, we didn’t get it. We saved things and used stuff up. I still remember pulling nails out of old boards. Putting them in an old paint can to keep to reuse when need. There was no throwing away when someone else could use it. I just could hardly put this book down after I started to read it. I learned a lot and was reminded of lots that I’d forgotten. I learned I had gotten caught up into doing things of the world.

The Amish faith is so different than what we are used too. How many times just this year have you paid a bill late? They share we are not to do that since it really isn’t our money anyway. Think of how much you can save if you pay no late fees. She does the math for you and it is amazing.

I encourage everyone to read this book. I also published book reviews on www.amazon.com and www.goodreads.com.

I definitely gave this book 5 out of 5 stars.
