Rick Tramonto—Chef and cookbook author has won acclaim for his restaurants and cookbooks. In this book, his memoir Rick takes you into the kitchen to show you the life of a chef and also from where he has come. Tramonto’s story is about success, failure and so much more.
Growing up a dysfunctional family in Rochester, N.Y., he started working for Wendy’s after he quit high school when he was almost 17. On his climb to success he has worked with many talented chefs and also very temperamental ones. No matter what life threw him, he always seems to rise up again.
Scars of the Chef is a very inspirational book for all to read, especially anyone who ever questioned the value of determination in accomplishing our goals. Rick tells of the challenges and sacrifices he went through to achieve success.
When I started reading this book, I didn’t want to put it down. The way it is written just kept me interested until I finished. I wanted it to go on and tell me more. I’d highly recommend this book to everyone. I gave it a 5-star rating.
I received this complimentary copy of this book from Tyndal House Publishers if I would post a review on amazon.com or some other web site.
