Seeing Life from a Broken Perspective

Stained Glass Hearts

Seeing Life from a Broken Perspective

Author: Patsy Clairmont

Publisher: Thomas Nelson (August 9, 2011)

Book Description: Much like stained glass, life's broken pieces become the prism through which God's grace shines most brightly and beautifully.

"Life is no doubt full of difficulties, but it is also filled with promise and possibility," says best-selling author and Women of Faith speaker Patsy Clairmont. In Stained Glass Hearts, Patsy guides readers to view the difficult experiences of life through the lens of God's grace. She compared people to stained glass windows and she shares that it's when we're surrounded by darkness that His healing light shines most brightly within us. Encouraging women to step back and see life from this new perspective, she offers help and hope for the dark places of life.

I chose Patsy Clairmont’s new book Stained Glass Hearts for several reasons. One of those reasons was I have read and enjoyed her other books. The second reason I chose this book, is I like to read about others perspective of living a broken life, since my life has had a lot of breakage. The third reason was because Patsy is one of the speakers for The Women of Faith Conference’s. I am going to be able to go to one of those conferences soon and was kind of disappointed that Patsy Clairmont won’t be at this particular conference. Now let’s get back to this wonderful book.

As you read Patsy’s writing it is as if she was sitting next to you talking. At the end of each chapter, she suggests some healing activities such as Scripture, music, art, and other things. As you read this book you will see how the Lord has helped Patsy piece together her broken heart and you can learn of ways He can help you mend yours.

I give this book 5 out of 5 stars. I am posting a book review on my blog and www.amazon.com
